Kidnapping Mom and Dad (1997, Germany)

Dad in a nightie Children's adventure story; homeless kids Mel (Laura Syniawa) and her younger brother Tommi (Mitja-Daniel Krebs) are going to be split up by the social welfare department, so they run away and find some adoptive parents themselves.

At one stage it's vital not to let the unwilling new parents leave home, so the kids freeze their clothes in the freezer. The "Father" (Jan Josef Liefers) finds something flimsy of his wife's to put on. The wife has been died blue in their swimming pool, so she has put the balaclava on.

The embarrassment factor is stretched out to the limit; a couple of golfing friends come to the door and the Father rather unwisely opens it to them; later the kids manage to tie the parents up, in their bedroom. The parents are struggling to untie themselves (with the father still wearing the dress) and a passer-by sees them through the window and infers a bondage game is in progress.

Not really a very gripping story. Despite the title this is a German made-for-television film with German dialogue.
