Keeping the Faith (2000)

Rather low key film about a Roman Catholic priest and a rabbi, who were chums at school, and who are still friends. Romantic complications develop for both of them, in very different ways, of course.

As part of the scene setting, we see some poor unfortunate drag queens in a New York suburb being helped out by one of the boys.
