Morecambe and Wise were a comedy duo, and they were the mainstay of British television comedy entertainment in the 1960's. Their humour was always at the slapstick end of the scale and relied on running gags a lot, but there's no denying that they were popular at the time. In this film they are involved in some vague form of counter-espionage; Ernie Wise, the straight man, skilfully adopts disguises to be able to keep his partner under surveillance; here he is an usherette in the cinema.
