A funny film about a couple who intend to get married and their wildly mismatched parents; the father of the young man is engaged in brokering the illegal purchase of a Russian submarine.
It has been suggested from watching the film trailer, that Jerry Peyser (played by Albert Brooks), the mild-mannered and conventional father of the young woman, is in transgender mode in this shot in a lift. In fact this is Candice Bergen as the boy's Mother (on the right). She only comes into the screenplay fairly late and is played as a larger-than-life figure, which caused the confusion.
