I Was a Male War Bride (1949)

Grant and Sheridan together
Well, the action in this film is just about the silliest I've ever seen; set at the end of WW2, Cary Grant is a Frenchman and marries Anne Sheridan, a US army officer; to get on to the ship to emigrate to the US he has to pretend to be a woman.

Screen test
This second picture was a screen test for the costume and general appearance of Cary Grant, but without make-up. At the bottom of the blackboard just out of shot, it says "Wig #1". They didn't use this wig in the actual filming, and you can see why.
