Billed as the first gay slasher film, this is a bit of a disappointment, with too many unexplained events and too thin a script. This looks like an opportunity missed.
A group of gay men live in West Hollywood and are planning to go to the Halloween festival tonight. Tobey (Matt Phillips) joins his friends at a restaurant, and he is already in a flamboyant drag outfit. The friends are impressed and we get the impression from their reactions that Tobey is not a habitual drag queen.
As this is a slasher film, they now drive out to a deserted area to scare themselves about the danger of getting slashed, and suddenly it is night-time.
At the beginning of the film, the scene was set when one of the men, a policeman, helped these ladies across the road.
Tobey obviously isn't the only drag queen at the festival. In fact Kris Andersson, Danny Seckel, and Nick Collins play drag roles in the film.
