Another completely daft and unfunny comedy from Bud Abbot and Lou Costello. The plot is thin as usual, but towards the end of the film, the duo are working in a girls' college, Bixby. There is a girls' basketball match against a rival college, Carlton, and bets have been placed which make it essential to win.
But Carlton College have secured the services of the Amazons, a professional team of very tall women, who also are ready and able to foul, and injure, the home team's players.
As several players have to retire, injured, eventually Lou Costello is brought on as a substitute. The only attempt to make him look feminine is a curly wig under a football helmet, and I was watching this for two or three minutes before I realised he was intended to be impersonating a girl, rather than just a male player co-opted into the girls' team.
He receives a bump on the head from the ball and loses his memory. He is told he is Daisy Dimple, the greatest girl basketball player. He believes this and goes on to win the game.
