Hard Time (1998)

A cliché-ridden and tired tough-guy unconventional cop story.

Burt Reynolds' character ends up (unjustly, of course) in police custody. It's a holding cell, with several offenders already there; there is only one free place to sit down, next to a transvestite. Reynolds hesitates and the transvestite indicates the free seat to Reynolds, and he reluctantly takes it.

There are two subsequent scenes with dialogue between them, but it's all pretty much prejudiced and bigoted humour. The transvestite introduces herself as Ron, played by John Allsopp.
