Garden of the Moon (1938)

Colonna as the harem girl The Garden of the Moon is a night club, and this is one of those films where everyone seems to be wearing evening dress all the time, with plenty of time devoted to musical numbers and dances.

Part of the cabaret is a humorous musical number in which Jerry Colonna is partly dressed as a harem girl. At the end they pull away his veil to reveal a walrus moustache, just in case we hadn't guessed it was a man in drag.
