Going Overboard (1989)

Miss Spain A weak comedy film with an early Adam Sandler; Sandler plays a waiter on a cruise liner and finds that he fails to attract desirable women. He is an aspiring comedian and tries to shine in this role, but the ship is taken over by gangsters.

Sandler's character speaks direct to camera to explain the plot to us; we also get some statements from various beauty queens, including Miss Spain, played by Adam Rifkin.

Bob disapproves Sandler's character is fantasising about attracting women but his mother appears and tells him off; the mother is in the form of Bob, his co-worker, played by Tom Hodges.
