The Gondoliers (1990, Australia)

The Duchess of Plaza-Toro A film of an Australian stage presentation of the Gilbert & Sullivan comic operetta, about two gondoliers in Venice. It is discovered that one of them was born as the heir to the throne, but as they are twins, they don't know which.

The role of the Duchess of Plaza-Toro is played by the actor Graeme Ewer, in the style of a pantomime dame.
