La grande vadrouille (1966, France)

In stage costume A better than average World War 2 adventure comedy. A British bomber crew are forced down in occupied France, and make good their escape, eventually from a theatre, in disguise. One of the crew, MacIntosh, played by Mike Marshall, dresses as a peasant woman from the theatre's costumes.

Underground The film is French, and the renowned comic actor Louis de Funès has a major role. Terry-Thomas plays the British Bomber pilot. (Mike Marshall was born in the USA but most of his work has been in French films).

The title means "Wandering around". The film may also have been released with the lame title Don't Look Now, We've Been Shot At.
