Le grand bazar (1973, France)

Mother had a moustache
A slapstick young adults' film about a group of young men and their zaney adventures. There is a long scene where they are shoplifting from a supermarket, and one of them passes through the checkout with a trolley full of water bottles, actually containing vodka that he has decanted. He tells the checkout girl that "Mother will pay" indicating an accomplice behind him, wearing wig and fur coat ... but when "Mother" turns to face the checkout, it's a man, and the thief has gone.

The new shop assistant
A few moments later another of the team puts on the clothes of a shop dummy, actually taking the skirt from a woman posing as a dummy to keep the thieves under observation.
