Général ... Nous voilà (1978, France)

The three try to buy their uniforms back
A weak wartime comedy, based on an irresponsible young man who shows personal skill in guerrilla warfare and two plodding provincial policemen. The three are from wartime France, but they escape to England and join de Gaulle's Free French Army. They are sent on a special mission to North Africa to find an Italian General who has gone to ground there.

After various daft adventures, they lose their vehicle and hitch a lift in a bus that is acting as a mobile bordello. As only women can be on board, the three dress appropriately and evade detection by German patrols.

Here in the picture they are trying to trade with Arabs to re-assemble their uniforms.
