Girls Will Be Girls (2003)

Evie
The film follows the largely neurotic lives of three women. The twist is that the women are played by male actors; but they are played as women, not as drag queens. Made as a cult film, it makes constant references to other films and you have to keep alert to catch all the references. There are some very sharp one-liner jokes too.

Evie (played by Jack Plotnick) is a neurotic has-been who, thirty years ago had a part in a third rate film, and is trading on that past glory.

Coco
Coco (played by Clinton Leupp, from To Wong Foo) lives with Evie, and is a more worldly personality, more put upon by Evie than anything else.

Varla
Varla (played by Jeffery Roberson) lives with them. She is rather concerned about her weight, but she seems to be scraping a living in commercials.

All the other parts in the film are played by men too. The plot isn't the best ever, and it meanders rather slowly, but as a cult film it hits the mark and is worth watching.
