Fando y Lis (1968, Mexico)

The crossdressers in action An experimental and frankly weird film by director Alejandro Jodorowsky. The child-like couple of Fando and Lis wander a barren and surreal landscape -- which looks like a disused quarry to me. With almost no dialogue, most of the action consists of weird activity like burying dolls, or in some cases people, and bowling ten-pin bowling balls after a man in a way that seems to knock him down even when they pass ten feet away from him.

In the middle sequence, a posse of rather masculine crossdressers surround the couple and cavort.

I have no idea what all this is about.
