Eskimo Nell (1974, UK)

A terrible British comedy about a sleazy film maker and the result of his work. As the film title refers to a racey ballad, the makers were trading on the X rating, but in fact the content is tame.

In trying to get funding for the film he is going to make, the producer has to agree to stipulations about the plot from his backers, and these are contradictory, and in the end four films have to be made.

There is a film with a gay cowboy hero; because of their budget problems, a cowboy extra is played by a woman.

There is also a Sound of Music segment, with at least one nun in drag.

The film was also released as The True Story of Eskimo Nell.
