A weak thriller with Clint Eastwood; he is called back by the authorities as the only man capable of assassinating an enemy agent. Why? Because, apparently, the assassination has to take place on the north face of the Eiger. A million other improbable plot elements marred this film for me.
It has got onto some transgender lists mainly because of Miles Mellough's character, an outrageous camp man; but it's not transgender -- he's just a flashy dresser.
Earlier in the film, Eastwood is flying somewhere; the stewardess comes onto him in a very direct -- and improbable -- way. Eastwood says, " I can't believe that you're a stewardess."
She replies, "Actually, I'm not. I'm a skyjacker in drag."
There is some banter about her name, Jemima, which Eastwood finds non-credible. She says that people won't forget you if your name is Jemima. He replies that, "People wouldn't forget you if your name was Alfred."
