Exiled (1998)

A drag queen prances past A feature film derivative from the Law and Order series on American television. The plot is the tired old routine of an unfairly discredited detective taking on a hopeless murder enquiry. The murdered person is a prostitute, so we need the tired old device of some scene setting shots, indicating the seamy side of life in the red light district. This drag queen character prances by flamboyantly.

In fact the scene looks impromptu and I suspect it happened by chance during location filming. The queen gets into the credits (as "hooker"), and is James F Murphy in his/her first film appearance.
