Enthüllung einer Ehe (2000, Germany)

Ramona and daughter
A difficult film that follows the breakup of a German transsexual's marriage as she proceeds inevitably to surgery. Viewed initially from the wife's point of view, as the truth dawns when she discovers the husband, Roman (Dominique Horwitz), dressed at a Self Help Group, after seeing his car parked outside.

Denial, relapse, sexuality, children, job and violence from the community all form part of the familiar mosaic.

Here with her daughter, she has become Ramona. The film was set in Stuttgart and some local transgenders are to be seen.

The title means "Revelation in a Marriage". The film has also been released as Leben, endlich leben.
