A relationships film involving complex sexual liaisons when everyone is leaving the city for the holiday. Jacques Dutronc (Bertrand Lannier) avoids going on holiday to arrange a rendezvous with his transgender lover, Nanou (Michael Dolmen), instead. During an intimate session, Jacques says to Nanou, "You're a boy" in an approving way.
Later Nanou is a guest at a large party where most of the characters end up. Nanou and a woman are in conversation, and they go for a walk to a more private place; they embrace but the woman then discovers Nanou's genitalia, and she loses interest.
The film is also released as Summer Things. The French title means "Embrace whoever loves you".
