Day of the Nightmare (1965)

Jonathan dresses to kill
Cliff Fields plays Jonathan Crane, an artist who specialises in nudes. Next door lives Doris Mays, a woman who lives quietly alone. One day there are loud noises in her apartment and then Jonathan is seen dragging a heavy trunk away. Murder is suspected, but a psychiatrist tells his wife that as a child, Jonathan saw his mother having sex with strangers, and apparently this led to schizophrenia. Jonathan is obviously Mrs Mays at times, and when Jonathan flies into a rage he tries to kill the psychiatrist while in drag.

It's stories like this that get the rest of us a bad name.
