David Holzman's Diary (1967)

The transsexual in the car A boring pseudo-documentary of an obsessive film-maker's boring life. The only interest is that this woman stops in her car, curious about what he is filming. She engages in an extended conversation, not all very distinct because of the poor quality of the sound-recording equipment.

A review says "It's only in reading interviews with director Jim McBride that you learn that the kerbside conversation between 'David' and a horny, husky-voiced woman was an unstaged encounter between McBride and a pre-op transsexual".
