Darling (1965, UK)

The exchange of clothing A landmark film that is surprisingly little seen nowadays. Julie Christie plays Diana Scott, a liberated girl of the sixties who will use whatever assets she can to get what she wants. The film skilfully portrays the brittleness and shallowness of the in-crowd scene at that time.

About half-way through there is a party, and a game is started that leads to everyone exchanging clothes. The game quickly changes from a benign pastime to a damaging mental inquisition. The cross-dressing is only partial drag.
