Daydream Believers - the Monkees Story (2000)

The maiden in the tower
The Monkees were an early 1960's pop group and very popular, worldwide. The film takes an affectionate, and none too accurate, look at their career together.

The film is not too serious, and some comic moments are included: here a sort of maiden-in-the-tower fantasy song number, which appears early on and is repeated.

Getting past the fans
One of them has to visit his parents; the attention of young female fans makes this difficult, and he resorts to this makeshift drag to get past them.
