A sleazy 1970 European version of the classic Oscar Wilde story. It opens with a transsexual performing in a club so you know you're in for something different. Helmut Berger stars as the young handsome playboy Dorian Gray. Dorian poses shirtless for the portrait in this one...and the painting is lusted at by women and men...and even Dorian himself likes it!
As the painting grows old, Dorian stays young, hot and looking for a good time. He has many encounters with women including Marie Liljedahl and even implied involvement with Herbert Lom in a steambath. Dorian also cruises the docks to find other encounters with the male workers there. Dorian's cruelty and depravity eventually get the better of him and his "portrait" wins in the end, of course. Great sleazy fun...a must for euro-horror-trash fans! From director Massimo Dallamano.
Also released as The Secret of Dorian Gray.
