Don't Lose Your Head (1967, UK)

The two Englishmen infiltrate the guillotine executions disguised as Citoyennes
Sid James (right) was never the best looking of men but he makes an even less convincing Madame Lafarge character.

The plot loosely follows the story of The Scarlet Pimpernel, in which an English aristocrat rescues French nobles from the guillotine during the terror of the French revolution. Here James is seen with Jim Dale at the foot of the guillotine.

Sid James as an aristocratic woman
Sid James appears in drag again a few minutes later, as an aristocratic woman.

The film is a member of the Carry On series; it was originally released without those two words for reasons of intellectual property rights, but I believe that it was later re-released as Carry On, Don't Lose Your Head.
