The Devils (1971)

A chaotic Ken Russell film about the court of the French King Louis XIII.

The opening sequence shows King Louis XIII, dressed as Ceres with seashell bikini, dancing an interpretation of the birth of Venus in front of Cardinal Richelieu. There is an extensive supporting cast of drag artistes. Louis XIII was played by Graham Armitage.
