Caligula (1979)

Meeting the priestesses This is a notorious film about the Roman emperor; it contains a lot of unorthodox sexual practices, enough to annoy everyone who wanted a historical narrative and not enough to gratify those who wanted sheer porn. And it must have cost a fortune to make; but it doesn't come across as an authoritative film.

Caligula is recommended to take a wife; but how will he select one? Well, luckily the priestesses of Isis are meeting tomorrow night. The only problem, Caligula thinks aloud, is what to wear. So as to blend in, he goes dressed the same as the priestesses, briefly.
