Casanova (2005)

Francesca in the duel
A comedy version of the fable of the great Venetian womaniser; it's quite entertaining and certainly it is a lavish production.

The twist is that an early feminist, Francesca (Sienna Miller) is the target of Casanova's desire. We see her first preaching a feminist doctrine to a Venetian council, dressed in male clothes but not pretending to be a man. However later she substitutes for her brother in a duel.
