Chameli (2004, India)

Haseena talks to the man Rahul Bose plays a businessman whose car breaks down in a seedy red light district during heavy rain. He is sheltering in an arcade, when a prostitute, played by Kareena. He rejects any involvement with her, but as they are both sheltering they begin to talk and an unlikely bond develops between them. The film follows the annoyances that befall Bose during an aggravating evening.

Chameli's brother, Hasaan, played by Kabir Sadanand, comes up and tries to involve Bose too; in fact s/he tries to pick him up.


Haseena with Chameli He looks quite convincing, except perhaps for facial bone structure, until Chameli reappears and tells him to go, and suddenly all his body language goes masculine.

Afterwards a man comes up looking for "Haseena" -- obviously Hasaan; he refers to him as "that fag" and "that eunuch".
