Carry On Up the Jungle (1970, UK)

Tarzan is wearing drawers The Victorian England theme appeared to be successful, so the Carry On team made this one about exploring in Darkest Africa. As usual in this series of films, some of the gags are very funny, and a lot of it is obvious drivel.

Terry Scott plays a portly Tarzan who briefly, and innocently we assume, puts on a girl's bloomers. He then has to confront some marauding tribesmen who kill themselves laughing.

Bresslaw has arrived to rescue them Later, the group of explorers have been taken prisoner by a tribe of Amazon women, from Aphrodisia. Bernard Bresslaw, playing an African guide, dresses up as one of the women to go and rescue the Europeans.
