Carry On Matron (1973, UK)

Kenneth Cope is ready A further offering in the successful comedy Carry On ... series. Never attempting highbrow humour, and usually avoiding outright smut, the films caught the British public imagination without the necessity for big budgets.

Sid James has thought up a scam to steal contraceptive pills from the hospital and sell them. He persuades Kenneth Cope to dress as a nurse, to get in for the theft.


With Terry Scott in the lavatory In the hospital, Cope's character goes to the lavatory to adjust his underwear; but he chooses the men's lavatory, and a randy consultant, played by Terry Scott, chats him up.


The maternity case arrives James decides reinforcements are needed, so he and his friends arrive, with James pretending to be a consultant doctor and Bernard Bresslaw as a heavily pregnant woman.
