Casanova and Co (1977, Austria etc)

Tony Curtis dressed as a chambermaid
Tony Curtis plays the famous lover, but he is in jail. However he manages to escape and makes his way to a convent to hide; while he is there, there he finds that several of the nuns are happy to engage in mortal sin with him. To his dismay, Casanova discovers that he is unable to perform. Meanwhile Giacomino, also played by Tony Curtis, finds sanctuary in the bedroom of the wife of the Doge of Venice. She is Gelsomina, played by Sylva Koscina, left in the picture. Seeing a man she presumes to be Casanova, she allows him to take advantage of the situation. But when the Doge returns home, Giacomino has to hastily dress as a housemaid, calling himself Rosetta. Giacomino’s exploits enable the real Casanova’s reputation to continue untarnished.

The film has also been shown under the names The Rise and Rise of Casanova, Sex on the Run, Some Like It Cool and The Amorous Misadventures of Casanova.
