Der Bettelstudent (1956, West Germany)

Musical film based loosely on the operetta by Millöcker. Symon Rymanowicz (Gerhard Riedmann) and his friend Jan Janicki (Gunther Philipp) are on the way to Krakow and the meet the dancers Katja (Ellen Kessler) and Mira (Alice Kessler). To deceive the occupying forces of Saxony, they dress Katja in a young soldier's uniform.
