The Blue Man (1985, Canada)

William arises A film director's career is failing and he is reduced to making commercials. As he casts around for something to do with his life, he gets involved with astral projection, which apparently means transmitting your soul into someone else's body. But increasingly he finds that this leads to horrific events taking place.

Investigating the cause, he remembers a documentary he made about an elderly man and wife, who said that they were able to perpetuate themselves by inhabiting someone else's body. This was obviously done against the victims' will, and involved "preparing" them for the transfer.

We now realise that this is what has been going on; but this time the man has transferred himself into a woman's body. Our hero says (to this woman with flowing blonde hair), "It's over William ... I'm not going to be one of your victims."

The film has been more widely distributed under the title Eternal Evil.
