Black Lizard (1968, Japan)



The Black Lizard and Akechi are lovers
 "The Black Lizard" is the woman who masterminds the criminal underground in Tokyo, and she is played by the famous Japanese female impersonator Akihiro Maruyama, without any crossdressing revelation.

The Star of Egypt is a priceless diamond owned by a local jeweller, amnd the Black Lizard kidnaps his daughter to obtain the staone as ransom for the girl. A private detective, Akechi, is hired by the jewel merchant to find his daughter without giving the renason; Akechi is outwitted by the Black Lizard, but she falls in love with him. He needs to be careful; she has a private island where she keeps a death couch, a severed hand and decapitated heads of former lovers. The director is Kinji Fukasaku.

The Japanese title is Kurotokage.
