Beresina oder die letzten Tage der Schweiz (1999, Germany)

Very witty film about a naive Russian girl, Irina (Yelena Panova), living in Switzerland. She has many men friends, including a very senior middle aged member of the Swiss army. He takes her illicitly to a deserted secret defence establishment. She is politely impressed. "Is this where the Swiss Army hid from Hitler's troops?" she asks innocently.

"It's where we prepared ourselves to defend Switzerland", he replies, crestfallen. Her letters back to the girls in Russia are also very well done.

She takes part in various sexual games with men friends, including here a dressing up game.

Beresina was a battle in Napoleon's retreat from Moscow in which the Swiss troops played a leading part.
