The Belles of St Trinians (1953)

A comedy film set in a chaotic British girls' boarding school. The school is seedy, broke and crooked, and the girls run riot and terrorise the staff and the surrounding countryside.

Alastair Sim played a well studied role as the Headmistress, as well as her brother, appearing with her in a few carefully set up scenes.

Sim specialised in slightly creepy and squalid male parts, and he plays superbly the dual role in this film.
