Almost Angels (1962)

In the dressing room
A drama based on the boys of the Vienna Boys Choir (Wiener Sängerknaben). Tony's father is an engine driver and thinks that an excellent career for a boy; but Tony has an good singing voice and joins the Wiener Sängerknaben. But Peter is the senior boy there and rivalries develop, but are eventually resolved. Peter's treble voice breaks during a critical public performance of Tales from the Vienna Woods and Tony sings it covertly for him.

In the performance, all the parts are sung by the boys, of course. Here in the dressing room, the female lead is ready, but getting teased.

A touching duet
There is a nice duet with the male lead.

The chorus of village girls
And the chorus of village girls make a pretty sight, also all boys.

The film is also known as Born to Sing.
