Alias Mary Brown (1918)
Casson Ferguson plays Dick Brown, "otherwise known as Mary Brown".
Dick Browning finds out that three city men have defrauded his dead father's estate. Desperate and penniless, he joins a gang of crooks, vowing revenge. Passing himself off as Mary Brown and dressed appropriately, he gets some money back from the men. However a romantic interest develops with Betty, whom the crooks planned to rob too. Dick decides to go straight and marry Betty ... but after only one last job, which happens to be the robbery of her uncle. The police surprise him (as Mary), but the gang helps him to escape.
