Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1972, UK)

A fairly faithful portrayal of Lewis Carroll's original text, with added songs. Fiona Fullerton, then 16, plays Alice. There are several big name character actors in the cast -- look out for Peter Sellers sounding remarkably like Inspector Clouseau -- and carefully constructed costumes too. But the direction is so low-key as to be somnolent, and the film never holds the attention really.

Peter Bull plays the Duchess, seen only briefly.
