Ace Ventura, Pet Detective (1994)

Daft Jim Carrey crime thriller based on abuse of animals. A female police chief is eventually revealed by Carrey's character to have been a man; but there is no actual crossdressing or role-reversal shown on screen.

I found Carrey's affected mannerisms annoying, and they spoilt the film for me.
