Abroad with Two Yanks (1944)

Two soldiers in drag Farcical comedy in which two friends in the American Marines go on leave together in Australia and end up competing for the same girl, using underhand methods. The two men are played by William Bendix and Dennis O'Keefe.

Two soldiers in drag At one stage there's an entertainment night, "Marine Follies" and the two are dressed in drag, ready for the chorus. Instead they get into a big (and quite extended) chase sequence, during which surprisingly few people recognise them. Here they have ended up at a society cocktail party; incredibly, the girl they are after is present.

The phoney Australian and Scottish accents jar a little.
