Well, I suppose I get to go first. I'm Hazel Freeman. I live near Cambridge, England, and I'm transgendered, with no intentions of transitioning.
My philosophy of life is to enjoy it as much as possible, and I have no inhibitions about what I do as long as it doesn't do disproportionate harm to anyone else. In fact since I emerged into the open in 1994, I've always found that my enjoyment of life is greatly enhanced; I have a lot more fun nowadays.
My personal website has lots of stuff about me, and also lots of useful, I hope, information for transgendered people in general. If you're interested in that, it's at:
Tiffany Michelle has given me (through her website) a number of pointers to "relevant" films I didn't know about. Here's how she describes herself:
Hello everyone! I am a thirty-something cross-dresser and live in the United States. As I am sure with most people, my movie collection started with just a few movies that I really liked... both TG and non-TG related. I started noticing quite a large number of movies had at least some amount of TG content and as I became interested in seeing them, my collection just started snowballing from there! There are a lot of good TG Movie Guides on the internet, and I have also posted a modest list on my site.
Her site is at:
This is Liz's self-description:
Liz is a fiftyish Yank living in the land of John Ford westerns and the Sundance Film Festival. Liz is enough of a snob to occasionally use the F-word (film) in reference to movies and rarely leaves the theater until the last credit has rolled. She admires Chaplin, Hitchcock, and Sayles and knows that a gaffer has nothing to do with a gaff. Remarkably, she has never seen 'Priscilla' or 'To Wong Foo.' Alas, Liz is a closeted sister with a disapproving spouse so she doesn't get to play as much as she should. Liz welcomes mail, but confesses to being a neglectful correspondent.
I think I'd better add that Liz is a painstaking assessor of film information, and has provided me with many leads to films I hadn't heard of, and background information on many that I had, but didn't know much about.
Liz can be emailed at
Jaye Kaye lives in deepest East Anglia, in England; she has an extensive website of her own, with a movie database on it; we've agreed to share information. Jaye Kaye is, like Liz, a meticulous compiler of published information.
Her website is to be found at
C Monster helped me by providing about 30 titles that were new to me, as well as confirming quite a lot more that I had heard of, but didn't know anything about. This was at a stage when I thought there couldn't be any more, unknown titles!
I am grateful for his painstaking work, based on two rare books, "Drag Gags" and "Drag Gags Returns" by Ralph Judd. It is worth recording here that there are a few books of this kind; they never achieved massive sales and I don't suppose that Ralph Judd, and the authors of other similar books, became millionaires as a result. It is fitting to honour their hard work here.
C Monster lives in the wilds of Northern California.
Finally I acknowledge several other, unnamed contributors who have drawn my attention to films or helped me with details in them. Thank you all
